Visiting Cork in Ireland
Cork in the south of Ireland is an amazing place to visit. There are so many pubs and bars, with live music and great atmosphere. Cork is very easy to get to from the ferry port at Rosslare and is a must see, especially as part of a driving tour of Ireland. Sadly we missed the time when you could take your car onto the Swansea to Cork ferry. From Cork it's easy to get to Cobh, the last harbouring place of the infamous Titanic ship. Back in Cork, you can enjoy the Cork festival during the summer, a month long entertainment spot that features art, poetry, music, theatre and many more events around the city. In case you visit Cork on a Sunday, you will be able to enjoy the finest Irish gourmet and crafts at the Elizabeth Fort Market Festival. Each November, Cork is the home of a Film Festival established more than 50 years ago and every October, you will be able to participate in the largest Jazz Festival in the entire Europe.
